Hahahaha, you want to hear something funny? That audition I told you about? It's today. I realized the coincidence of the date as soon as I hung up the phone to schedule it. And then I immediately wrote it down in my notebook as a gag to use in my book. I think this plan to get back into theater for writing inspiration is already off to a great start. ;-)

Incidentally, I had made up my mind to do the song from the show because I figured (a) I'm probably not going to get the part, so it's my one chance to get to perform it and (b) the accompanist will probably have already seen the sheet music, which will inadvertently give me more confidence. But I guess this show is just not quite popular enough because the individual song wasn't available that I could find for instantaneous download online.

So now, by reason of pure default and me dragging my feet, I'm doing Guys and Dolls. Oh well. Gotta love no-brainer decisions. ;-) As it is, I'm feeling kind of uber lazy about the whole deal. I really want this part, yes, but I really love this show so I'm going to accept anything and no matter what I do I'm going to get oodles and oodles of things to scribble down in my notebook so I simply cannot lose. I feel so liberated!!!

Man, I think I only use this icon with you... poor Jalen. Haha.
